“We always look sad. We’re beagles. But you’re right. Today I really am sad.”

“I know. It was a rough night. First the wind, then the thunder, then the rain.”

“And we were lucky; we got spared the worst part. And at least we got to go inside. Lots of puppies had it rough. Some had to spend the night outside.”

“And where the bad storms hit, some didn’t make it.”

“That’s why I’m sad.”

“Maybe we could figure out a way to help. Google tornado relief organizations.”

“Here’s samaritanspurse.org. We can trust them.”

“Yes. And there’s always the American Red Cross.”

“Now you’re talking! There’s only one problem.”

“What’s that?”

“We don’t have any money.”

“I’m finding that poses a problem more often than not.”

“Hey! People have money. Do you think people read this?”

“I doubt it. Would you?”

“Of course. We’re adorable.”

“Adorable but sad.”

“You got that right.”
